COVID-19 testing and vaccination
It takes a collective commitment to continue to keep the campus safe. The University of Tulsa strongly recommends all students, staff and faculty receive and remain current with the COVID-19 vaccination and booster shots. COVID-19 vaccinations are the best way to prevent yourself from becoming infected or becoming seriously ill if you are infected. Hurricane Health offers free COVID-19 vaccinations made by Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson. Please call 1-800-993-8244 to schedule your appointment. If you already have your vaccine, upload/verify proof of your COVID-19 vaccination/booster online.
Hurricane Health also provides COVID-19 testing by appointment.
Student health insurance
TU strongly recommends all students maintain private health insurance or participate in the Student Health Insurance Plan while enrolled at the university. Information on the Student Health Insurance Plan is available online.
All graduate students awarded an assistantship, students enrolled in TU’s nursing program, intercollegiate athletes and international students taking one or more credit hours are required to purchase the Student Health Insurance Plan. Students who are required to have student health insurance will be automatically enrolled and the cost of coverage is added to their university bill each semester. However, the charge will be removed upon verification of other appropriate coverage (verification must be received by Sept. 15 for students enrolling in the fall and Jan. 31 for students enrolling for the first time in the spring).
In accordance with FERPA and HIPAA regulations, Hurricane Health cannot release specific information about a student to anyone, including family members, without the student’s written permission.
